Canon TS8250 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon TS8250 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
Why Canon TS8250 reports an absorber error
An absorber message concerns both software and maintenance. The counter can be reset, while heavily saturated pads may still need cleaning or replacement.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS8250
- Turn the printer off.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8250 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
