Canon PRO-300 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon PRO-300 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
What stops Canon PRO-300 from printing
Canon PRO-300 uses a stored counter as a maintenance safeguard. Reaching the threshold can produce an Ink Absorber Full, Service Required or related support-code message.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon PRO-300. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon PRO-300
- Turn the printer off.

Connect Canon PRO-300 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon PRO-300 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?

No. Use a direct USB connection between the printer and a Windows computer.
