Epson M2129 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson M2129 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Before resetting Epson M2129
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson M2129 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson M2129. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson M2129
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for M2129 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson M2129 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson M2129.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson M2129 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for M2129; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson M2129 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Can I reset Epson M2129 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
