Model-specific reset guide
Epson L559 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson L559 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
Understanding the Epson L559 waste ink warning
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L559 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L559. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L559
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.
-

Install the official Epson driver for L559 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.
-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L559 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.
-
Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L559.
-
Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L559 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
Epson L559 reset FAQ
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
