Canon TS8120 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If your Canon TS8120 suddenly refuses to print and shows a maintenance or service warning, the ink absorber counter may have reached its limit.
During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon TS8120 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.
This page is prepared for Canon TS8120. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.
What You May Notice
- ‘Ink Absorber Full’ / ‘Service Required’ message
- Support/service code (varies by series)
- Printing blocked after cleaning cycles
- Reset required to continue printing
How to Enter Service Mode on Canon TS8120
To access maintenance functions, Canon TS8120 may need to be placed in service mode first.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.
If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.
Clear the Ink Absorber / Waste Ink Counter
After service mode is enabled (if required), the waste ink counter can be reset using a supported reset procedure/software.
Maintenance Reminder
If absorber pads are truly saturated, ignoring maintenance can lead to ink leakage inside the printer. The counter reset only removes the software lock.
Need a reset solution?
If your model does not show a service mode section, it means no matching procedure was found for its series.
