Canon TS8120 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If Canon TS8120 displays an ink absorber full or service-required warning, the stored waste ink counter may have reached its limit. This guide covers service mode, USB preparation and the reset itself.

The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TS8120 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS8120
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS8120 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8120 is not detected
- Connect Canon TS8120 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
