Canon TR4575S Ink Absorber Reset Without Service Center

Canon TR4575S Ink Absorber Full Reset

Canon TR4575S can lock printing when the waste ink (ink absorber) counter hits a predefined threshold. This guide explains how to reset it.

Ink absorber pads store waste ink during normal operation. Canon firmware tracks this using a software counter and may stop printing when it reaches the limit.

This page is prepared for Canon TR4575S. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.

How to Enter Service Mode on Canon TR4575S

To access maintenance functions, Canon TR4575S may need to be placed in service mode first.

  1. Turn the printer OFF.
  2. Press and hold Stop/Reset.
  3. While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
  4. Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
  5. Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
  6. Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.

If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.

Finalize the Reset and Restore Printing

After service mode is enabled (if required), the waste ink counter can be reset using a supported reset procedure/software.

Important Notes

Resetting the counter does not physically clean the absorber pads. For heavy usage, pads may eventually need cleaning or replacement.

Need a reset solution?

If your model does not show a service mode section, it means no matching procedure was found for its series.

If It Doesn’t Work

  • Close other Canon printer utilities while resetting.
  • Power-cycle the printer and try again.
  • Try a different USB cable/port if using PC software.
  • Repeat the service mode steps carefully (timing matters).
  • Use the correct Stop/Reset press count for your series.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes once the correct steps are followed.
Does reset clean the absorber pads?

Does every Canon model need service mode?
No. The generator shows service mode steps only when the series procedure is known.
How many times should I press Stop/Reset?
It depends on the series. Many use 5 presses; PRO/imagePROGRAF/MG use 6 in this generator.
