Canon TR4575 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon TR4575 can lock printing when the waste ink (ink absorber) counter hits a predefined threshold. This guide explains how to reset it.
During head cleaning, surplus ink is routed to internal absorber pads. Canon TR4575 monitors this via a counter and can lock printing at a threshold.
This page is prepared for Canon TR4575. Service mode instructions are shown only when a matching series procedure is known.
What You May Notice
- Service / maintenance warning on the screen or driver

- Blinking lights and queued jobs fail
- Error reappears after restart
How to Enter Service Mode on Canon TR4575
If your Canon TR4575 supports service mode reset, follow the steps below before performing the counter reset.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.
If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.
Reset the Ink Absorber Counter
After service mode is enabled (if required), the waste ink counter can be reset using a supported reset procedure/software.
Before You Continue
Resetting the counter does not physically clean the absorber pads. For heavy usage, pads may eventually need cleaning or replacement.
