Epson XP-423 Reset Waste Ink Counter
The service-required message on Epson XP-423 often relates to the internal waste ink counter rather than an empty cartridge or paper fault. The steps below help you confirm and resolve that condition.
Why Epson XP-423 stops printing
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson XP-423 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-423. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
