Epson L1210 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L1210 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Before resetting Epson L1210
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L1210 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L1210. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L1210
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.
-
Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L1210 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.
-
Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L1210 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.
-
Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L1210.
-
Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L1210 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
