Canon IB4190 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon IB4190 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
What the Canon IB4190 service message means
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon IB4190 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon IB4190. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon IB4190
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.

- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon IB4190 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
