Canon IB4070 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon IB4070 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
What stops Canon IB4070 from printing
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon IB4070 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon IB4070. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon IB4070
- Turn the printer off.

- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 keer.

Reset the counter in Canon IB4070

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon IB4070 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon IB4070 is not detected
- Connect Canon IB4070 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
Can I perform the reset over Wi-Fi?
No. Use a direct USB connection between the printer and a Windows computer.
