When Epson R330 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Understanding the Epson R330 waste ink warning
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson R330 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson R330. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Install the original driver

Connect Epson R330 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson R330.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson R330 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for R330; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
