Epson L4167 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson L4167
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L4167 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L4167. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L4167
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L4167 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L4167 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L4167.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L4167 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Install the original Epson driver for L4167; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does Epson L4167 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.

No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
