Understanding the Canon MB2155 ink absorber warning
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon MB2155 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MB2155. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MB2155
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon MB2155
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MB2155 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.

- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
