Epson L351 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson L351 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Understanding the Epson L351 waste ink warning
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson L351, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Reset the counter in Epson L351
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L351 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L351 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L351.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L351 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for L351; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
