Canon TS8730 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TS8730 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
Understanding the Canon TS8730 ink absorber warning
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon TS8730 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS8730
- Turn the printer off.

- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 volte.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.

Connect Canon TS8730 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8730 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon TS8730 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
