Canon TR8052 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon TR8052 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
Before resetting Canon TR8052
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon TR8052 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TR8052. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TR8052
- Turn the printer off.
- Tenere premuto Stop/Reset.
- Tenendo premuto Stop/Reset, premere e tenere premuto Potenza.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 volte.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon TR8052
Check cartridges, close Canon utilities and connect the printer directly to Windows before beginning the reset.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TR8052 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TR8052 is not detected
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect Canon TR8052 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.

Does Canon TR8052 require service mode?
Yes. The printer must expose its maintenance interface before the counter can be reset with Wic Reset Connect.
What if my reset key was used during a failed attempt?
Correct the cause first, then use the new-key generator or contact support for assistance.
Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
