Canon MG4270 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MG4270 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
What stops Canon MG4270 from printing
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon MG4270 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MG4270. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MG4270
- Turn the printer off.
- Tenere premuto Stop/Reset.
- Tenendo premuto Stop/Reset, premere e tenere premuto Potenza.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 6 volte.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon MG4270
Work through the sequence without rushing. Incorrect button timing or a blinking power light means the printer is not ready for the counter reset.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MG4270 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MG4270 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
