The waste ink counter inside Canon G6092
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon G6092 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.

How to enter service mode on Canon G6092
- Turn the printer off.
- Tenere premuto Stop/Reset.
- Tenendo premuto Stop/Reset, premere e tenere premuto Potenza.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 volte.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon G6092
Check cartridges, close Canon utilities and connect the printer directly to Windows before beginning the reset.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon G6092 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G6092 is not detected
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
