Canon G2400 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon G2400 may block print jobs after recording enough cleaning and maintenance cycles. Use the sequence below to enter service mode and reset the stored value.
What the Canon G2400 service message means
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon G2400 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon G2400. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon G2400
- Turn the printer off.
- Tenere premuto Stop/Reset.
- Tenendo premuto Stop/Reset, premere e tenere premuto Potenza.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 volte.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon G2400
Service mode must be entered correctly before Wic Reset Connect can communicate with the maintenance interface. Resolve other printer errors first.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon G2400 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G2400 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
