Canon MG8140 Ink Absorber Full Reset
When Canon MG8140 reports that the ink absorber is full, turning it off and on will not normally remove the lock. The printer must be prepared correctly and its counter reset.
What the Canon MG8140 service message means
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon MG8140 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.

How to enter service mode on Canon MG8140
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.

- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Connect Canon MG8140 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
