Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson L3255 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.

Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3255 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3255 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3255.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3255 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3255; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
