Epson C90 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson C90 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Before resetting Epson C90
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson C90, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson C90. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson C90
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for C90 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson C90 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson C90.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson C90 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

Can I reset Epson C90 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson C90 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
