Epson Artisan 830 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson Artisan 830 may refuse new print jobs after estimating that the waste ink pads have reached their service limit. Wic Reset Connect can reset the software counter after the printer is prepared correctly.
Before resetting Epson Artisan 830
During head cleaning and normal maintenance, unused ink is directed into internal absorber pads. Epson Artisan 830 estimates that accumulation with a software counter; it does not directly measure the physical amount of ink in the pads.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson Artisan 830. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson Artisan 830
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for Artisan 830 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson Artisan 830 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson Artisan 830.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson Artisan 830 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for Artisan 830; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

Does Epson Artisan 830 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
