Canon PRO-200 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon PRO-200 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
Why Canon PRO-200 reports an absorber error
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon PRO-200 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon PRO-200. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon PRO-200
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon PRO-200 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon PRO-200 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon PRO-200 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.

Does the reset clean the ink absorber?
No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
What if my reset key was used during a failed attempt?
Correct the cause first, then use the new-key generator or contact support for assistance.
