Epson XP-208 Reset Waste Ink Counter
A waste ink counter warning can prevent Epson XP-208 from printing even when the printer is otherwise working normally. Follow the checks and reset sequence below to restore operation safely.
Why Epson XP-208 stops printing
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson XP-208 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-208. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
Epson XP-208 reset FAQ
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
