Epson SX235 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson SX235 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
Before resetting Epson SX235
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson SX235 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson SX235. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson SX235
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for SX235 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson SX235 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson SX235.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson SX235 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.

Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Can I reset Epson SX235 over Wi-Fi?
No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
Does Epson SX235 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
