Reset the counter in Epson NX420
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for NX420 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson NX420 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson NX420.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson NX420 is not detected
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Install the original Epson driver for NX420; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
