The problem

Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson L810

An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson L810 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L810. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Reset the counter in Epson L810

Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

  1. Install the original driver

Install the official Epson driver for L810 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

  2. Connect directly by USB

Connect Epson L810 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

  3. Start Wic Reset Connect

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L810.

  4. Enter the key and reset

Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

Finish correctly: A successful reset is finalized by switching Epson L810 off and on. The printer should then accept jobs normally.
If Epson L810 is not detected
  • Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
  • Install the original Epson driver for L810; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
  • Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
  • Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
