Before resetting Epson EP-902A

Reset the counter in Epson EP-902A

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for EP-902A and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson EP-902A to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson EP-902A.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson EP-902A is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for EP-902A; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.

What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson EP-902A need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
