Canon TS5051 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TS5051 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
The waste ink counter inside Canon TS5051
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TS5051 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS5051. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS5051
- Turn the printer off.

- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 fois.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon TS5051
The counter reset normally takes only a few minutes after Canon TS5051 has entered service mode successfully.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS5051 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS5051 is not detected
- Connect Canon TS5051 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.

Correct the cause first, then use the new-key generator or contact support for assistance.
Does Canon TS5051 require service mode?
Yes. The printer must expose its maintenance interface before the counter can be reset with Wic Reset Connect.

No. It resets the stored counter. Inspect, clean or replace the absorber pads when their physical condition requires maintenance.
