Canon TS3551i Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TS3551i does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
Why Canon TS3551i reports an absorber error
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon TS3551i changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS3551i. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS3551i
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon TS3551i
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS3551i to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS3551i is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon TS3551i directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
