Canon TR153 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon TR153 may block print jobs after recording enough cleaning and maintenance cycles. Use the sequence below to enter service mode and reset the stored value.
Before resetting Canon TR153
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon TR153 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TR153. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TR153
- Turn the printer off.
- Appuyer et maintenir Stop/Reset.

- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 fois.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.
Reset the counter in Canon TR153
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Prepare the printer
Resolve other errors, confirm a steady power light and enter service mode using the sequence above.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TR153 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TR153 is not detected
- Connect Canon TR153 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
