Model-specific reset guide
Epson Photo 1400 Reset Waste Ink Counter
The service-required message on Epson Photo 1400 often relates to the internal waste ink counter rather than an empty cartridge or paper fault. The steps below help you confirm and resolve that condition.
The counter behind the Epson Photo 1400 warning
Epson Photo 1400 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson Photo 1400. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Epson Photo 1400 reset FAQ
What if the first reset attempt fails?
Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
Does the reset clean or replace the ink pads?
No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Does Epson Photo 1400 need service mode?
No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
