Epson ET-2814 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson ET-2814 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
What the Epson ET-2814 service message means
Waste ink produced by cleaning cycles is collected inside the printer. Epson ET-2814 tracks those cycles electronically and can stop printing when the calculated limit is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson ET-2814. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson ET-2814
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for ET-2814 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson ET-2814 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson ET-2814.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson ET-2814 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Install the original Epson driver for ET-2814; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.

No. Wic Reset Connect requires a direct USB connection to the Windows computer.
How long does the reset take?
The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.

Correct the driver or USB communication problem first. If the key was consumed, use the new-key generator or contact support.
