Canon TS6040 Ink Absorber Full Reset
An absorber warning on Canon TS6040 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.
Before resetting Canon TS6040
The absorber pads collect ink generated during print-head cleaning. Canon TS6040 tracks those maintenance cycles in memory rather than measuring the pads directly.

How to enter service mode on Canon TS6040
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.

- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
