Canon TS5053 Ink Absorber Full Reset
The waste ink system in Canon TS5053 collects ink used during cleaning cycles. Once the estimated limit is reached, service mode and a compatible counter reset may be required.
Before resetting Canon TS5053
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon TS5053 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS5053. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS5053
- Turn the printer off.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS5053 is not detected
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- If Windows does not detect a service-mode device, restart the printer normally, wait 10 seconds and repeat the preparation.
- Connect Canon TS5053 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
