Epson TX109 Reset Waste Ink Counter

Epson TX109 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.

The problem

The counter behind the Epson TX109 warning

The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson TX109, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson TX109. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.

Step by step

Reset the counter in Epson TX109

Complete these steps in order. A direct USB connection and the original Epson driver are essential for reliable communication.

  1. Install the original driver

Install the official Epson driver for TX109 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

  2. Connect directly by USB

Connect Epson TX109 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

  3. Start Wic Reset Connect

Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson TX109.

  4. Enter the key and reset

Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.

Finish correctly: A successful reset is finalized by switching Epson TX109 off and on. The printer should then accept jobs normally.
If Epson TX109 is not detected
  • Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
  • Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
  • Install the original Epson driver for TX109; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
  • Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
