Epson L3279 Reset Waste Ink Counter
Epson L3279 records cleaning cycles and waste ink usage in an internal counter. When that value reaches its programmed limit, printing can stop until the counter is reset.
Why Epson L3279 stops printing
Every cleaning cycle sends a small amount of ink to the waste ink system. Epson L3279 adds that activity to its counter and displays a maintenance warning when the programmed threshold is reached.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L3279. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L3279
Start with the connection checks below, then run the reset without opening other printer programs during the process.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3279 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3279 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3279.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3279 is not detected
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Install the original Epson driver for L3279; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.

No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
Can I reset Epson L3279 over Wi-Fi?
