Why Epson L301 stops printing
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson L301 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson L301. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson L301
The reset normally takes only a few minutes, but the printer must be detected correctly before the key is used.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L301 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L301 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L301.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L301 is not detected
- Install the original Epson driver for L301; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
