Canon MG5760 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
Why Canon MG5760 reports an absorber error
Waste ink is routed away from the print head and retained inside the printer. The firmware in Canon MG5760 calculates usage and may stop new jobs to reduce overflow risk.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon MG5760. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon MG5760
- Turn the printer off.

Prepare the printer

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MG5760 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon MG5760 is not detected
- Connect Canon MG5760 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
