Canon TS8350 Ink Absorber Full Reset
If your Canon TS8350 suddenly refuses to print and shows a maintenance or service warning, the ink absorber counter may have reached its limit.
Ink absorber pads store waste ink during normal operation. Canon firmware tracks this using a software counter and may stop printing when it reaches the limit.

How to Enter Service Mode on Canon TS8350
To access maintenance functions, Canon TS8350 may need to be placed in service mode first.
- Turn the printer OFF.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset (keep holding Power).
- Press Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Release Power — the printer should enter service mode.
If it doesn’t work, repeat the sequence carefully. The press count depends on the series.
Reset the Ink Absorber Counter
Completing the reset clears the internal ink absorber counter stored in printer memory and restores normal operation.
Maintenance Reminder
If absorber pads are truly saturated, ignoring maintenance can lead to ink leakage inside the printer. The counter reset only removes the software lock.
