Canon G4610 may block print jobs after recording enough cleaning and maintenance cycles. Use the sequence below to enter service mode and reset the stored value.
What stops Canon G4610 from printing
The lock is based on accumulated maintenance activity. Resetting Canon G4610 changes the counter value but does not remove ink already held in the absorber material.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon G4610. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon G4610
- Turn the printer off.
- Press and hold Stop/Reset.
- While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold Power.
- Release Stop/Reset but keep holding Power.
- Press and release Stop/Reset 5 times.
- Wait briefly, then release Power. The power indicator should remain steadily lit.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon G4610 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect Canon G4610 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- If the power light blinks, resolve the displayed cartridge, paper or mechanical error before trying service mode again.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
