Epson TX106 Reset Waste Ink Counter

Before resetting Epson TX106
Epson TX106 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson TX106. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson TX106
Prepare the computer and connection first. Most unsuccessful attempts are caused by a missing original driver, an indirect USB connection or another Epson utility using the printer.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for TX106 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson TX106 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson TX106.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson TX106 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for TX106; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

No. Epson printers do not use the Canon service-mode sequence. Connect the printer normally by USB.
