Before resetting Epson L3287
An ink pad message is a maintenance safeguard. It indicates that Epson L3287 has reached a stored waste ink value that must be reset before normal printing can resume.

Reset the counter in Epson L3287
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for L3287 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson L3287 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson L3287.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson L3287 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
