Canon TS8530 Ink Absorber Full Reset
Canon TS8530 can stop printing when its internal ink absorber counter reaches a programmed threshold. Follow the model-specific preparation below before using Wic Reset Connect.
The waste ink counter inside Canon TS8530
Cleaning operations send unused ink into absorber pads inside the printer. Canon TS8530 estimates their usage with an electronic counter and can lock printing when that value reaches its limit.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Canon TS8530. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
How to enter service mode on Canon TS8530
- Turn the printer off.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon TS8530 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Run the program as Administrator and wait until the Canon service-mode device is detected.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
If Canon TS8530 is not detected
- Close Canon maintenance utilities and clear paused print jobs before opening Wic Reset Connect.
- Repeat the button sequence at a steady pace; releasing Power too early is a common reason service mode fails.
- Connect Canon TS8530 directly to the computer and try another data-capable USB cable or port.
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep internet access active for key validation.
