An absorber warning on Canon MG5510 does not necessarily mean that the printer is mechanically damaged. The software counter and the physical pads must be considered separately.

How to enter service mode on Canon MG5510
- Turn the printer off.

Reset the counter in Canon MG5510
First make sure the power indicator is steady and no cartridge or mechanical error is active. Then prepare the Windows computer and direct USB connection.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Canon MG5510 to a Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 computer without Wi-Fi or a USB hub.

Enter the purchased key, select Reset and keep the printer connected until confirmation appears.
