Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson XP-645
Epson XP-645 uses stored counter data to estimate absorber usage. The estimate may reach its limit before the pads appear completely saturated, but physical maintenance should still be considered.
Wic Reset Connect is designed to reset the compatible counter in Epson XP-645. The physical waste ink system should still be inspected and maintained when necessary.
Reset the counter in Epson XP-645
Correct preparation protects the reset key from being used during a failed communication attempt. Verify each requirement before selecting Reset.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-645 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-645 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-645.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-645 is not detected
- Close Epson Status Monitor and any other Epson maintenance software before starting Wic Reset Connect.
- Connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use Wi-Fi, a USB hub, docking station or print server.
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-645; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.

No. It changes the stored counter value. Inspect, clean or replace the physical waste ink system when its condition requires it.
What if the first reset attempt fails?

The reset itself usually finishes in about 1–2 minutes after the printer has been detected correctly.
