Epson XP-435 Reset Waste Ink Counter
When Epson XP-435 reports that an ink pad needs service, restarting the printer alone normally does not clear the lock. A compatible reset procedure is required.
Why the ink pad counter blocks Epson XP-435
The printer protects against possible ink overflow by monitoring an internal service counter. On Epson XP-435, reaching the threshold can trigger an ink pad warning and block further jobs.

Reset the counter in Epson XP-435
Use the sequence below to establish a stable USB connection and clear the waste ink counter.

Install the original driver
Install the official Epson driver for XP-435 and confirm that Windows can see the printer.

Connect directly by USB
Connect Epson XP-435 to the computer without Wi-Fi, a hub or an adapter.

Start Wic Reset Connect
Close Epson Status Monitor, run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and select Epson XP-435.

Enter the key and reset
Enter the purchased key, choose Reset and keep the printer connected until completion.
If Epson XP-435 is not detected
- Run Wic Reset Connect as Administrator and keep the internet connection active throughout validation.
- Try another USB port and a known data-capable USB cable if the printer is not detected.
- Clear paused print jobs and restart both the printer and Windows if another program is holding the USB connection.
- Install the original Epson driver for XP-435; a generic Windows driver may not expose the required communication interface.
